About The Position

Omni Hotels & Resorts is seeking seasonal Lifeguards for the beautiful new Barton Creek Country Club! The Lifeguard Instructor works to create guests for life, by proactively embracing the service standards, adhering to safety regulations and gaining the knowledge to assist guests with any and all needs. This position is seasonal with a start date of March 4th, and an end date of September 15th.

Requirements

Must be minimum of 18 years of age.
CPR/AED Certification required.

Nice To Haves

Previous lifeguard experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Successfully complete the International Lifeguard Training Program and ongoing training requirements.
Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations
Maintain constant surveillance of patrons in the facility; acts as immediately and appropriately to secure safety of patron’s events of emergency.
Provides emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services.
Presents professional appearance and attitude at all times, and maintain a high standard of customer service.
Performs various maintenance duties as directed to maintain a clean and safe facility.
Prepares and maintains appropriate activity reports and daily log of events.
Handles or refers other problems and situations as they arise within the facility to the Manager.
Ability to prepare routine administrative paperwork.
Ability to work both independently and in team procedures.
Attend department meetings as scheduled along with department staff
Maintains continuous observation of pool, deck, and surrounding areas to ensure apparent safety hazards are reported and corrected promptly.
Efficient organization of work areas.
Ensuring that all opening and closing duties are completed, e.g. locking area, turning off equipment and lights, etc…
