In this role, you will be responsible for the safety of guests/associates in all pools, hot tubs, slides, attractions, & interactive features in all the waterpark areas; applying life-saving skills & first aid to any guest who is in need. As part of our leadership team, you’ll embody our Promise to Lead with Love—guiding, supporting, and inspiring associates while delivering extraordinary guest experiences. You’ll ensure that all guests feel welcome and safe and are given responsive, friendly, and courteous service always.

Requirements

  • We do require that you are 15 years of age or older due to state laws & regulations
  • You must pass a Starguard lifeguard certification to be qualified for this position.
  • Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced, energetic environment that is constantly changing based on room occupancy, group, and local business
  • A leadership style rooted in collaboration, respect, and service to others.

Responsibilities

  • Understand completely all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, safety guidelines and training programs for all waterpark venues
  • Apply lifesaving skills and first aid to any guest/associate who is in need.
  • Fully understand and comply with all Federal, State, County and Municipal regulations that pertain to health, safety and labor requirements of waterpark outlets/venues, associates, and guests
  • Make sure all incidents of guests are escorted to first aid and rescue reports are filled out properly and that all guest injuries are checked on with the proper Kalahari protocol.
  • Assist with daily startup and closure procedures of water park attractions, indoor and outdoor, including trash removal, towel collection, equipment, tubes, and lost and found, and park cleanliness.
