About The Position

Perform the majority of work and services in the field. Repair valves, actuators, and instrumentation in the Caltrol Shop. Support other repair locations in our west coast territory (AZ, CA, NV). Local customer pick-up and delivery services for valves. Maintenance of Caltrol Valve Shop and equipment. Assist in maintaining shop equipment. Drive company / work truck to perform field services. Stays current on all training, classes, and certifications needed to access customer facilities.

Requirements

  • High school diploma.
  • 2-3 years of experience as a field service technician, instrumentation technician, and/or demonstration of general electrical/mechanical competency.
  • 2-3 years of experience working on control valves.
  • Strong knowledge of valve actuators, pneumatic actuators, and hydraulic actuators.
  • Previous experience with shipping, receiving, and inventory management.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and evaluate written work instructions, P&IDs, and technical manuals.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge.
  • MUST have a valid Driver’s License, a clean driving record, and the ability to operate company vehicles safely.
  • Strong Customer Service skills.
  • Verbal and written skills to effectively communicate.
  • Ability to understand and safely use hand tools and power.
  • Must be able to travel and work in confined spaces or on elevated platforms.

Nice To Haves

  • Welding experience preferred.
  • Previous training in Instrumentation, control valves, or isolation valves a PLUS!!
