About The Position

The Lifecycle & Retention Marketing Manager will lead the development and execution of highly personalized B2C marketing campaigns across email, SMS, and web layers. This role is central to driving customer engagement, maximizing lifetime value, and strengthening brand loyalty through data-driven strategies. You will own the end-to-end retention marketing roadmap, collaborating closely with e-commerce, creative, and product merchandising teams to optimize campaigns and automation workflows. The position requires a balance of strategic vision, technical proficiency, and analytical insight to deliver measurable growth. Ideal candidates are proactive, detail-oriented, and passionate about connecting with customers through innovative and highly targeted marketing initiatives. This is a fully remote opportunity within the U.S., offering the chance to influence both business outcomes and community engagement.

Requirements

  • 4–6+ years of experience in digital, email, and SMS marketing, ideally within DTC, retail, or sports industries
  • Proficiency with CRM/campaign management tools such as Maestro or equivalent CDP/ESP platforms
  • Strong strategic mindset and ability to collaborate with product, merchandising, and creative teams
  • Excellent analytical skills with experience interpreting campaign performance metrics and executing data-driven optimizations
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with proven cross-functional collaboration experience
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment
  • Results-driven with a “can-do” attitude and strong sense of ownership
  • Passion for the brand, products, or community is highly valued

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive lifecycle strategy to drive engagement, retention, and lifetime value
  • Audit and manage active campaigns and automation workflows to ensure seamless execution and continuous optimization
  • Lead production of email and SMS campaigns, including segmentation, copywriting, design coordination, and complex automation
  • Perform A/B testing and campaign analysis to optimize deliverability, open rates, click-through rates, and overall campaign effectiveness
  • Leverage customer insights and advanced segmentation to implement dynamic personalization for targeted outreach
  • Ensure compliance with email marketing regulations, data privacy policies, and industry best practices
  • Research and integrate emerging marketing technologies to maintain competitive advantage and campaign innovation
