Position Overview FamilySearch International, the largest genealogy organization in the world, is looking for a qualified intern to join our lifecycle marketing team. Lifecycle marketing at FamilySearch is focused on enabling users to progress towards contributing to the shared family tree by offering relevant content that aligns with the user’s current position along the customer journey through preferred communication channels. As a lifecycle marketing intern, you will assist in the creation of content and the management of marketing communication channels such as email while working with multiple teams and stakeholders. This position will report to the lifecycle marketing manager. Other Details This position will be hybrid with weekly visits to the office and remote work. This will be an internship limited to up to 1-year Qualified candidates will be expected to work no more than 40 hours a week primarily during the hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Flexibility can be coordinated to accommodate school schedules if needed.

Requirements

  • Working towards or recently finished a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or communication.
  • Education or work experience with marketing tools such as Braze
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills (able to communicate proactively and clearly with stakeholders)
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Self-disciplined, motivated, and eager to learn new skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and great organizational skills
  • Paid Interns are qualified while enrolled in an educational institution and for one year following graduation. They must sign a Paid Internship Engagement Letter.

Responsibilities

  • Perform quality assurance checks on all channels including email, notifications, mobile push, etc.
  • Work cross-functionally with other teams and stakeholders to gather content for marketing communications such as the email newsletter
  • Develop lifecycle-focused plans to support division and organizational campaigns (such as “Light the World”)
  • Manage channel(s) including creation of content calendar, execution of sends, and performance reports
  • Assist in collecting and reviewing user feedback
  • Report on performance of campaigns, content, etc.
  • Write copy for marketing communications that clearly and concisely articulates a cohesive message across several channels including email, SMS, and notifications
