About The Position

Work within our adolescent (11-18) day treatment programs, planning and facilitating group skills services to clients of the program. This position works closely with the program therapists and other Life skills counselors to create and maintain an environment that is sensitive to the unique mental health needs of each client, assisting them in learning how to manage their mental health symptoms so they can function at home, in school and within the community. This position floats between 3 of our child day treatment centers located in Forest Lake, Oakdale, and North St. Paul. Additional job duties include working collaboratively with client's family, treatment team and school, as well as developing and implementing behavioral strategies to intervene and decrease disruptive behaviors.

Requirements

  • BA/BS in a Human Service-related field, with 1 to 2 years' experience working with severely emotionally disturbed students in an education or treatment center.
  • 1-2 years' experience working with severely emotionally disturbed students in an educations or treatment center.
  • This position requires the use of a personal automobile for transportation for business-related travel.
  • Must have the ability to maintain clean driving records, a current driver's license, and auto insurance coverage that meets the requirements set forth by Canvas Health insurance policy limits.

  • Experience working with and/or delivering services to diverse populations.
  • Experience with Electronic Health Record systems.
