Responsibilities include providing inspection services to a variety of safety systems including, but not limited to: fire extinguishers, sprinkler valves, carbon monoxide detectors, safety showers, eye wash systems, egress doors, emergency exit lights, and emergency phones, etc. Maintain accurate, updated records for all related equipment so that the University remains in compliance with applicable codes. Issue hot work and Red Tag permits. Access information utilizing appropriate computer software programs. Promote a work place that encourages safety in the shop and in the field. Access information utilizing appropriate desktop applications. Operate University vehicle. This position reports to a Supervisor and requires active engagement in learning and practicing principles of social justice and inclusion, environmental sustainability and delivering great customer experience
