What you will do Due to our continued growth, we have an exciting opportunity for a Fire Life Safety Service Sales Representative to join our team. In this role, you’ll represent Johnson Controls with professionalism and passion, promoting and selling Fire/Life Safety service solutions (Fire Alarm) to customers and end users within your assigned territory and accounts. Your efforts will help protect lives and property while building strong, lasting relationships. How you will do it We’re looking for someone with energy, enthusiasm, and a strong customer focus—someone who thrives on success and enjoys solving challenges. You’ll need excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate and persuade effectively. Here’s what your day-to-day will look like: Serve as the go-to resource for selling Electronic Services (Moves, Adds, and Changes) to your assigned customer base. Manage the entire sales cycle—from uncovering opportunities and crafting solutions to negotiating terms, closing deals, and ensuring exceptional service delivery. Collaborate with sales, technical, design engineering, service, and support teams to meet customer needs. Understand customer goals and develop strategies that showcase the value of Johnson Controls’ offerings. Consistently meet or exceed sales objectives by building strong relationships and delivering tailored solutions. Maintain an active proposal pipeline to support your sales plan. Take ownership of account management, coordinating services such as installation and training to ensure complete customer satisfaction. Prepare proposals, deliver presentations, and follow up to close opportunities successfully. Resolve customer concerns related to delivery, billing, financing, and more. Stay connected with existing accounts to uncover new opportunities. Conduct market research and building surveys to identify growth potential and provide accurate estimates. Keep detailed records of all sales activities to ensure transparency and efficiency. What we look for Education Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or engineering preferred. Experience 3+ years of successful sales experience in fire alarms, security control, monitoring, or a similar industry. Experience working with electrical contractors and reading blueprints is a plus. Proven ability in sales, presentations, and closing techniques. Strong communication and organizational skills. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently. Proficiency in PC applications including Word, Excel, and job costing systems. Highly driven and goal-oriented with strong problem-solving skills. Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record. Ability to obtain licenses required by national, state, and local codes. This role also offers a competitive Sales Incentive Plan that will take into account volume and margin on a project, quarterly, and annual basis. Requirements

  • 3+ years of successful sales experience in fire alarms, security control, monitoring, or a similar industry.
