About The Position

You may already know that we are a faith-led agency, providing compassionate, person-centered care to individuals and families experiencing homelessness, trauma, addiction and other life troubles through residential or emergency housing and programs, and a food and clothing community service. Our objective is to nurture and grow existing programs and services and implement the best practices to meet the needs of our clients - all while sharing the Gospel message. What you may not know is that in order to serve our community well we must serve our employees well. Open Door Mission is a 2021 and 2022 recipient of the Rochester Top Workplace Award. Our compensation package includes a 65%-75% contribution towards health care premium, free dental, vision, and supplemental disability insurances, mental health support through a robust employee assistance program, as well as up to 5 weeks paid time off per year. Open Door Mission is seeking a Life Recovery Supervisor to support our Addiction Recovery and Transitional Housing programs. This role provides day-to-day leadership to staff and participants, ensuring services align with our mission of Restoring Hope and Changing Lives. What You'll Do: Supervise and coach Case Aides; support hiring, scheduling, and performance management Provide case management direction and oversee participant progress Coordinate program operations, including intake/discharge and service planning Facilitate recovery, life skills, and faith-based programming Maintain program outcomes, reporting, and community partnerships What We're Looking For: 3+ years working with homelessness, mental health, or addiction populations Prior supervisory experience preferred Strong communication, leadership, and conflict resolution skills Ministry-minded individual aligned with Christian values Valid NYS driver's license This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone passionate about recovery work, staff development, and faith-based service in a mission-driven environment. Compensation-$45k-55k per year

Requirements

  • 3+ years working with homelessness, mental health, or addiction populations
  • Strong communication, leadership, and conflict resolution skills
  • Ministry-minded individual aligned with Christian values
  • Valid NYS driver's license
