The Life Enrichment Coordinator supports the planning and implementation of a comprehensive activity program designed to meet the physical, emotional, social, cognitive, recreational, educational, community involvement, and spiritual needs of Health Center members.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a social or recreational program within a licensed healthcare setting preferred.
  • Ability to read, speak, and understand English.
  • Ability to hear and to sit and walk intermittently throughout the workday.

Nice To Haves

  • Background or experience in music, art, drama, or dance therapy preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning, coordinating, and leading a variety of activities, including but not limited to: Arts and crafts Current events and discussion groups Exercise and movement programs Cooking activities Word games and cognitive activities Cultural and religious services Special entertainment, events, and outings One-on-one visits, as needed
  • Assist with the preparation and distribution of the monthly activity calendar and newsletter.
  • Purchase activity supplies as needed, following established procedures.
  • Assist with daily distribution of mail to members.
  • Assist with and direct the safe movement of members to and from activity and recreational areas.
  • Coordinate, support, and supervise volunteers assisting with activities.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of member participation and attendance.
  • Conduct activities independently in the absence of the Director of Activities.
  • Attend required in-service training and educational sessions.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
