About The Position

Homestead Village is a thriving non-profit, CARF-CCAC accredited, Life Plan Community located just outside downtown Lancaster. We are seeking highly caring, enthusiastic, & passionate Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) who enjoy Life Enrichment Activities to join our compassionate community as we enhance independence and dignity for all our residents!

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum two (2) years’ experience in related field or comparable education/degree
  • CPR, AED, & First Aid Certified or ability to become certified.
  • Ability to speak appropriately & confidently in large or small group settings.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to include day, occasional evening, & weekend hours as program needs require.
  • Ability to safely perform the essential job responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

  • Host and facilitate on-site events such as concerts, educational programs, holiday dinners, themed dinners, and project a positive and enthusiastic demeanor.
  • Chaperone and facilitate off-site events such as meals, local excursions, day trips, and possibly one multi-day trip annually with assistance.
  • Provide administrative support to the Residential Living Life Enrichment office as needed by: Orientating, scheduling, and documenting volunteers for residential programs Managing events and event registration electronically and on paper Organizing inventory storage areas Recognizing monthly milestone anniversaries by sending/ordering cards and gifts
  • Plan monthly calendar of activities/programs to meet the needs of residents in Supportive Services to include at least one of the following: (1) Physical Activity, (2) Social Activity, (3) Educational Activity, (4) Sensory Activity, (5) Music Activity.
  • Perform 1 on 1 visitation with residents who are unable or disinterested in leaving their apartment.
  • Coordinate room setups and food service for scheduled programs.
  • Work collectively with Supportive Services team members to assist in facilitating planned programs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
