White Oak of Rock Hill is a 141-bed skilled nursing facility conveniently located just minutes from Piedmont Medical Center. Our center provides long-term care and short-term rehabilitation services, and our Activity Department plays a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents.
Requirements
- Previous experience in activities, recreation, healthcare, or working with seniors preferred but not required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Creative, energetic, and compassionate personality
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
- Genuine desire to enhance the lives of residents
Responsibilities
- Assist the Activity Director with the daily operation of the Activity Department in accordance with facility policies and procedures
- Conduct group activities and assist residents in participating in scheduled programs
- Provide one-on-one activities for residents who are unable or unwilling to attend group programs
- Help plan, organize, and implement engaging activities that promote social, emotional, and physical well-being
- Assist residents to and from activity programs and events
- Maintain accurate records of resident participation and evaluate the effectiveness of activities
- Assist with the creation and maintenance of activity calendars, bulletin boards, and announcements
- Support Resident Council meetings and special events as requested
- Maintain activity supplies, equipment, and inventory
- Document resident progress accurately and in a timely manner
- Promote positive relationships with residents, families, and staff
- Participate in ongoing education, training, and professional development opportunities
