About The Position
The Life Enrichment Assistant at Madison House plays a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for residents in our retirement community. This position focuses on creating and implementing engaging activities that promote physical, emotional, and social well-being among our residents. The assistant will work closely with the Life Enrichment Coordinator to develop programs that cater to the diverse interests and abilities of our residents. By fostering a supportive and stimulating environment, the Life Enrichment Assistant helps residents maintain their independence and dignity. Ultimately, this role contributes to a vibrant community where residents feel valued and connected.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience working with seniors or in a healthcare setting.

Nice To Haves
- Certification in recreational therapy or a related field.
- Experience in activity planning or facilitation.
- knowledge of therapeutic recreation techniques
Responsibilities
- Assist in planning, organizing, and implementing daily activities and programs for residents.
- Engage residents in various recreational, social, and educational activities to promote their well-being.
- Provide support and encouragement to residents during activities, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Collaborate with other staff members to assess residents' needs and preferences for activity planning.
- Document participation and feedback from residents to help improve future programs.
