About The Position

Homestead Village is a thriving non-profit, Life Plan Community located just outside downtown Lancaster. We are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Life Enrichment Aide to join our community as we enhance our residents' social, physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. Location: The Apostle Center for Care; Skilled Nursing Unit Base Pay: Determined based upon years of experience; starting rate with no experience is $15.00; plus applicable shift & weekend differentials. Shift/Weekend Differentials: $1.50 additional from 3:00pm-11:00pm $0.75 additional from 11:00pm-7:00am $1.25 additional on weekends (Saturday & Sunday) Position/Schedule: Part Time; Mondays (4:00pm-8:00pm) & every other weekend/holiday (8:00am-4:30pm)

Responsibilities

Participates in resident dining at mealtimes. This includes handing out menus, taking resident orders, serving meals, assisting residents who require dining assistance, cleaning up dishes and kitchen area.
Responsible to assist with answering resident call bells and assist with various tasks relating to promoting quality of resident care.
Will develop, with assistance from the Life Enrichment Coordinator, appropriate activities for all residents within the household. In addition, will conduct both scheduled and impromptu life enrichment activities (formal and informal).
Assist with parties and special events for staff and residents.
Assist with procuring materials and services required for activities program.
Encourage resident participation in activities.
Project a positive and enthusiastic demeanor in the execution of activity programing.
Conduct one-on-one, small group, and large group programming with residents.
Document activities on resident chart in order to meet State requirements.
Perform other duties as assigned.
