Life Enhancement Assistant - Part Time

We are a close-knit, mission-driven assisted living and memory care community seeking a compassionate and creative Life Enhancement Assistant who is passionate about helping seniors live with purpose, dignity, and joy. This is not a typical activities job. This is an opportunity to shape daily life for our residents, build meaningful connections, and bring warmth and energy into a community where relationships truly matter. What You'll Do As our Life Enhancement Assistant, you will assist with all life enrichment programming for residents across all cognitive levels, including those living with Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia. You'll design experiences that go far beyond bingo - creating moments of connection, comfort, and happiness every single day.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in a senior living or long-term care environment
- At least 1 year working directly with individuals living with dementia or cognitive impairment
- A strong understanding of person-centered memory care, redirection, and engagement
- The ability to stay organized, communicate clearly, and lead with compassion
- Arizona Certified Caregiver certification
- CPR / First Aid
- AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Valid driver's license and ability to drive community vehicles
- Arizona Memory Care Certificate
Responsibilities
- Assist in leading engaging small group, large group, and one-on-one activities
- Assist in creating dementia-specific programming focused on sensory stimulation, emotional connection, and individualized engagement
- Assist in developing a full, vibrant monthly activity calendar
- Coordinating volunteers and special events
- Maintaining a welcoming, organized, and uplifting activity space
- Partnering with leadership to ensure programs meet AZDHS requirements and community standards
- Communicating with families, residents, and team members to encourage participation and connection
