After initial training in-person, this specific role could have the flexibility to work from home up to 3 days per week. Auto-Owners Insurance, a top-rated insurance carrier, is seeking a motivated Life Customer Service Representative professional to join our team. The position requires the person to: Work effectively with agents, policyholders, and associates at all levels. Communicate effectively in verbal and written form. Make computer inquiries and entries relating to policyholder accounts. Communicate effectively with agents and others as needed to research problems and find solutions. Prioritize and organize work to ensure it is completed in a timely manner. Regular and predictable attendance in meeting a defined work schedule. Accurately and effectively respond to agents and policyholders on more advanced policy features, coverages, and procedures. Determine and obtain information, while applying good judgment in making decisions, when working tasks through the servicing process. Requirements

  • Associate’s degree (Accounting/Business preferred) with a GPA of at least 3.0 (preferred) or at least two years of direct professional office experience
  • Direct insurance agency/company experience with Life products a plus
  • Must type a minimum of 40 words per minute with 85% accuracy
  • Flexibility for occasional and/or seasonal overtime
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments
