About The Position

The Lien Specialist helps customers get paid and protects and preserves Trulite's lien rights in projects all over the U.S. This position is high volume, and every task has a firm deadline. The role requires intense attention to detail, the ability to research account billing records, prepare lien waivers, communicate with customers, and respond promptly by email or telephone. It involves sitting for long periods and proficiency with basic computer use and industry-specific software. Kindness and a customer service mentality are essential, as is the ability to work at a fast pace in a high-volume environment. The specialist should be a self-starter who can work independently and is willing to cross-train on opening accounts and registering projects for notice to the owner.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Education or Experience required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of Office or Customer Service experience in a fast-paced environment required.
  • Demonstrated computer skills with a high level of speed and accuracy is required.
  • Able to research and calculate invoicing totals quickly, prepare lien waivers, communicate with customers, and respond promptly by email or telephone.
  • Able to sit for long periods.
  • Understanding of Windows PC functionality; proficiency with basic computer use (keyboard, mouse, etc.) and ability to learn industry-specific specialized software programs.
  • Kindness is required. This is a customer service position. Our team is customer service oriented, supportive of each other and our customers, with positive attitudes... a customer service mentality is a must.
  • Detail-oriented – the waivers issued are critical to making sure Trulite and its customers are paid. Accuracy is a necessity in this important role.
  • Ability to work at a fast pace in a high-volume environment is critical.
  • A self-starter who can work independently, assigning and completing tasks with little supervision.
  • Willingness to cross-train is mandatory. This role will cross-train on opening accounts and registering projects for notice to the owner.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX is preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of state sales and use taxes is preferred but not required.
  • Legal experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Research in Microsoft Dynamics AX to determine balances due or paid for specific periods.
  • Issuing lien waivers with totals of amounts owed or paid during specific periods.
  • Review and research information regarding the project address, general contractor, and owner for accuracy.
  • Determining whether a project is private or public.
  • Entering data in Level set’s website for the creation of preliminary notices or tracking of project deadlines.
  • Monitoring projects for the date of first furnishing.
  • Communicate with branch personnel regarding additional information needed and follow up until the information is received.
