The General Revenue (GR) Team Lead is responsible for providing leadership, guidance, and oversight to a team of Service Coordinators (SC), ensuring compliance with state IDD authority functions. HOURS OF RESPONSIBILITY: Monday – Friday 8 am – 5 pm, may include evening and weekend hours depending on task

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree from an accredited college or university required with a major in a social, behavioral, or human service field, including, but not limited to, psychology, social work, medicine, nursing, rehabilitation, counseling, sociology, human development, gerontology, educational psychology, and criminal justice.
  • Requires at least two years of supervisory or management experience.
  • Current State of Texas Driver License or if you live in another state, must be currently licensed in that state. If licensed in another state, must obtain a Texas Driver License within three (3) months of employment.
  • Liability insurance is required if an employee will operate a personal vehicle on Center property or for Center business.
  • Must be insurable by Center’s liability carrier if employee operates a Center vehicle or drives personal car on Center business.
  • Must have an acceptable driving record.
  • Basic math skills required. Ability to work with reports and numbers.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
  • Use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint). Ability to utilize Internet for resources.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in social, behavioral, or human services with a major in a qualified field such as psychology, counseling, or social work
  • Four years' experience in coordinating or providing services to individuals with IDD

Responsibilities

  • Provide supervision, training, and support to Service Coordinators.
  • Monitor, including job evaluations, compliance with policies, and implementation of the disciplinary process when necessary.
  • Ensure the timely completion and submission of required documentation, including but not limited to Person Centered Planning, Service Documentation and Service Authorizations in accordance with Texas Administrative Code (TAC), Health and Human Services (HHS) Performance Contract, and GR Billing requirements.
  • Monitor staff benchmarks and the appropriateness of assigned GR cases.
  • Ensure all GR referrals are assigned and contacted within the identified time frames.
  • Participate in ARD meetings and community fairs
  • Provide coverage for Service Coordinator responsibilities during staff vacancies or as needed.
  • Ensure all GR Referrals for crisis cases are contacted and connected to services within the 48 hour timeframe
  • Identify available community living options, services, and supports to assist individuals to successfully live in the community.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
