The Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) is the state of Florida’s social services agency, overseeing services for child safety, fostering, adoption, domestic violence, adult protective services, refugees, homelessness, mental health, substance abuse, childcare providers, human trafficking, and public assistance. The agency's mission is to partner with local communities to protect the vulnerable, promote strong and economically self-sufficient families, and advance personal and family recovery and resiliency. This position is for a Substance Abuse Regulatory Specialist who will ensure substance abuse treatment services are safe and comply with all laws, rules, and regulations. The role is critical as individuals in treatment are vulnerable, and non-compliance can lead to harm. Licensure Specialists act as auditors, technical assistance providers, negotiators, and client advocates, working with diverse treatment programs ranging from small to large organizations, serving both indigent and privately funded clients.
