About The Position

Licensing Specialist Lighthouse Youth & Family Services is seeking a Licensing Specialist for its Foster Care and Adoption program to support the Service Area Director in ensuring compliance with state regulations, managing licensing processes, and maintaining accurate documentation. Competitive pay based on licensure/education Starting at $26/hour Essential Functions: Monitors client, advocate and/or parent files to ensure compliance with state rules. Conducts home studies for certification/re-certification for new foster parents/advocates. Assists Social Workers with network operations when requested. Responsible for staying current with state regulations and assisting with reporting and implementation of any updates. Implements and collaborates with the state agency in the use of SACWIS (Statewide Automated Child Welfare Information System) for managing foster parent licensing procedures. Represents Lighthouse Youth & Family Services at agency and community meetings and/or trainings. Assists and represents Service Area Director during licensing inspections. Supports change initiatives within service area and/or across the agency. Conducts and coordinates foster parent training in accordance with state curriculum and agency training plans.

Requirements

  • Dependent Licensure, LSW or PC.
  • Adoption Assessor Certified. (Or ability to complete training within 6 months of date of hire)

Nice To Haves

  • BSW, MSW is preferred
  • One (1) year experience in youth services or residential care preferred
