About The Position

POSITION SUMMARY: Provides support for the life cycle of licensing documentation. This life cycle includes the development, review, and submittal of correspondence to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), response to NRC-related inquiries, and revisions of licensing submittals. Assist in providing technical research for up-to-date guidance and support on NRC and international regulatory requirements applicable to nuclear licensing applications, and other licensing document preparation activities. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assists in the development and management of licensing document production infrastructure. Initiates and maintains document process review and approval workflows. Responsible for manuscript management including change control, availability, and working file management. Manages sharepoint site, information storage, and assists with adherence to document controls, including internal record submissions. Provide document planning, and organizational skills required to prepare large and complex NRC submittals. Manages incoming and outgoing correspondences and submittals of information to NRC (Federal regulator). Obtains interpretations, depending on levels of technical and legal complexity, of existing regulatory laws, requirements, and guidelines to help guide the development of NuScale licensing documentation, infrastructure and process. Supports the processes and procedures related to NRC meeting preparation. Support planning and execution of interactions and visits of external entities visiting NuScale facilities. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements

  • Education: A minimum of an Associate’s degree or an additional 2 years of highly relevant experience in lieu of degree.
  • Experience: Minimum 4 years of progressively increasing responsibility in development of technical/regulatory/legal documents, associated database systems or projects, regulatory framework and process knowledge.
  • Must be proficient in MS Office suite.
  • Industry Requirements: Eligible to work under Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with regulatory requirements, technical editing, and document control preferred.
  • Advanced Adobe document and Microsoft Teams experience preferred.
