About The Position

Under the general supervision of the Licensing Manager, this position is responsible for background investigations, licensing issuance and renewal, maintenance of applicant and vendor data, NIGC and WSGC licensing correspondence, and other pertinent licensing requirements in accordance with the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act, NIGC Regulations, the Tribal/State Compact, and the Snoqualmie Tribal Gaming Act and Regulations.

Requirements

  • Operational knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) is required.
  • Proven ability of excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent required
  • A minimum of two (2) years of employee/vendor background investigations, licensing suitability determination, or closely related work, required. Completion of the Snoqualmie Gaming Commission Certification may substitute for education/experience requirements.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Gaming License.
  • Must be able to work a varied work schedule.
  • Must be able to pass a thorough pre-employment background investigation.
  • Must possess sensitivity to Native American culture.
  • Must agree to be subject to the Tribe's Controlled Substance and Alcohol Testing Policy to include pre-employment screening.

Nice To Haves

  • Associates Degree or higher preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the accurate intake, processing, and completion of license applications.
  • Conducts background investigations for all applicants, employees, vendors and vendor technicians.
  • Prepares investigation reports for review and approval by Licensing Manager or Executive Director.
  • Monitors vendor, employee and Casino licensees in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Maintains a database of all casino employee and vendor information in a secure and confidential manner.
  • Issues, tracks, and audits all licensee badges and files.
  • Assists with the license suspension, denial, and revocation process.
