About The Position

Become a part of our caring community and help us put health first The LVN provides professional nursing care to patients within an assigned unit, clinic or region. The LVN assesses patient health problems and needs, takes vital signs, administers medication, develops and implements nursing care plans, and maintains medical records. May advise patients on health maintenance and disease prevention or provide case management. Understands own work area professional concepts/standards, regulations, strategies and operating standards. Works within defined parameters to identify work expectations and quality standards, but has some latitude over prioritization/timing, and works under minimal direction. Requirements

  • Current licensure as an LVN in the state of Texas
  • 2 + years of experience working as an LVN
  • This role is considered patient facing and is part of Humana's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TB.
  • Excellent customer service
  • Strong clinical background
  • Strong sense of engagement to be a team player
  • Experience in a fast pace/high volume environment
  • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual English/Spanish with the ability to read, write and speak in both languages
  • Phlebotomy experience
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records (Athena)
  • Experience with HEDIS
  • Knowledge of Texas primary care medicine requirements
  • Working knowledge of clinical operations
