Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Current First Aid Training and Certifications.
  • A current nursing license issued by the State of California is required.
  • Minimum of six months in long term care, home care or related field.
  • Demonstrated competence in technical and manual skills according to the scope of practice for RN's/LVN's.
  • Working knowledge of computers and typing, sufficient enough to be successful with computerized Point of Care and other systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of aging process and implications of aging in a social setting.
  • Ability to communicate professionally with residents, families, and team members.
  • Completion of a background check, drug screen, physical, TB test, and fingerprint per state/local guidelines (Title 22).

Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate and effective care and treatments to our residents.
  • Work with a team of professionals to ensure the residents comprehensive needs are met.
  • Review routines, calendar of events and resident needs
  • Ensure medications and supplies are ordered, in stock and counted
  • Ensure all charting and record keeping is accurate and complete
  • Attend meetings, trainings
  • Promote the Mission, Vision and Values of Transforming Age, our Culture of Excellence, in all areas of responsibility.
  • Give a thorough report to oncoming shift.
  • Updates 24 hour report.
  • Calendars appropriately for upcoming needs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
