About The Position
The Licensed Vocational Nurse at the Jackson Street Campus is under the direct/indirect supervision of the Registered Nurse and is responsible for the professional nursing care and related assistance to patients on an assigned unit. Performs direct patient care within the scope of the Licensed Vocational Practice Act and in the assigned Critical Care area to established procedures. Projects an image of a level-headed professional that is constantly striving to increase their knowledge to better the care for the patient.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited licensed vocational nursing program.
- One year clinical nursing or related experience preferred.
- Current licensure in Texas as a Licensed Vocational Nurse.
- Certified in Basic Life Support through the American Heart Association and Advance Cardiac Life Support required within 6 months of employment.
- Demonstrated leadership ability and critical thinking skills required.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Computer skills.
