About The Position

BluePearl Pet Hospital is hiring an exceptional Neurology Veterinary Technician . LVT I Pay: $25.63 - $36.81 / hour Schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday $3,000 Sign-on bonus for qualified candidates! This pay band is a starting point and is dependent on experience and advancement through Kahuna leveling system . Requirements

Responsibilities

• Set up constant rate infusions (CRI).
• Calculates all medical math including advanced and CRI (mcg/mg, %/mg, etc ).
• Induce, monitor and recover anesthesia
• Set up for MRI and CT procedures.
• Discharge neuro patients from the hospital, including basic client education such as manual bladder expression, sling walking, range of motion, etc..
• Provide nursing care to stable patients according to hospital standards of care and core values
• Perform call backs and refill medications
• Client education, gathering histories and communicating that to the Clinician
• Perform physical exam; accurately count heart, pulse rate, capillary refill time, mucous membranes, temperature, respiratory rate and effort. Understand normal vital parameters
• Comfortable with IVC placement and venipuncture
• Operate all brands of intravenous fluid pumps and can troubleshoot errors.
• Restrain patients during consults and during diagnostics
• Able to lift 40-50lb on your own
