About The Position

We are seeking a Licensed Therapist (LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC) to provide mental health counseling, substance use treatment, and case management support to veterans experiencing homelessness. This role is part of a multidisciplinary team and focuses on trauma-informed care, crisis intervention, and evidence-based therapy in a community-based setting.

Requirements

  • Active LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC license (required)
  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience providing mental health therapy and/or substance use treatment
  • Experience with evidence-based practices (CBT, DBT, EMDR, Seeking Safety, Trauma-Informed Care)
  • Strong skills in crisis intervention, psychosocial assessment, and treatment planning
  • Knowledge of HIPAA, clinical documentation, and electronic health records (EHR)
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to transport clients as needed

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with veterans, military populations, or homeless services
  • Familiarity with HUD-VASH, VA systems, or community-based behavioral health programs
  • Experience with Medicaid documentation and billing

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual therapy and group counseling using evidence-based practices (CBT, DBT, trauma-informed care)
  • Conduct psychosocial assessments, develop treatment plans, and monitor client progress
  • Deliver crisis intervention and support clients with acute mental health or substance use needs
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and electronic health records (EHR) in compliance with HIPAA
  • Collaborate with VA partners, case managers, and community providers to coordinate care
  • Support substance use treatment and mental health programming, including group curriculum
  • Provide referrals and care coordination for housing, employment, and supportive services
  • Ensure compliance with state licensure standards, Medicaid billing (preferred), and grant requirements
  • Contribute to a therapeutic, recovery-oriented environment for clients
