About The Position

The 365-bed facility, located on a 37-acre campus, treats children, adolescents, young adults, adults, and seniors for disorders such as bipolar disorder, psychological trauma, depression, anxiety, mental illness, and addictive disease disorders. The Therapist delivers clinical social work services on a designated unit, aligning with Lakeside Behavioral Health's philosophy and objectives. This role involves psychosocial assessments, individual, group, and family therapy, treatment team planning, processing commitments, discharge planning/case management, crisis intervention, and liaison services with referral sources and other hospital departments. Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Clinical/Counseling Psychology or Social Services related field
  • Prior experience working with a psychiatric mental health population, preferably in an inpatient setting
  • Demonstrate flexibility for reassignment to units providing care to varied populations including, adults and dually diagnosed patients in an inpatient and partial hospital setting
  • Knowledge of case management, discharge planning, group leadership skills, age specific growth and development, crisis and behavior management, family therapy theory and practice
