About The Position

The Licensed Social Worker plays a vital role in advancing NeurAbilities Healthcare’s integrated care model by supporting families across behavioral, medical, and external therapeutic disciplines. This individual works closely with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and medical teams to ensure that every patient’s healthcare journey within NeurAbilities is cohesive, family-centered, and effective.

Requirements

  • Education: Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) required.
  • Licensure: Active state license (LSW, LCSW, LMSW, or equivalent).
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in healthcare, behavioral health, or pediatric setting preferred.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills along with strong interpersonal skills.
  • A passion for building positive culture and systems.
  • Knowledge and understanding of HIPAA practices and adherence to the policies.
  • Knowledge of IBHS and managed care organization regulations and requirements.
  • Knowledge of payer-specific requirements and processes for authorizations and billing
  • Ability to drive and lead practices while adhering to requirements of the state and manage care organizations.
  • Ability to provide constructive feedback and maintain healthy, productive working relationships.
  • Ability to analyze data and summarize progress across multiple clinics.
  • Strong time-management skills along with flexibility and the ability to prioritize.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and strong written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorders strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Biopsychosocial Evaluation (BPE) Support
  • Conduct assessments and assist in completing Biopsychosocial Evaluations (BPEs) under the supervision and sign-off of a qualified healthcare professional.
  • Gather relevant psychosocial, developmental, and environmental information to inform treatment recommendations.
  • Collaborate with qualified healthcare professionals and behavioral clinicians to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant BPE documentation.
  • Family Care Coordination
  • Serve as a point of contact for families navigating multiple care pathways (ABA, PT, OT, SLP, and medical services).
  • Provide education and support to help caregivers understand treatment recommendations, funding/insurance processes, and service transitions.
  • Identify barriers to care (socioeconomic, logistical, or emotional) and connect families with appropriate internal or community resources.
  • Support continuity of care through proactive communication and scheduling coordination between service lines.
  • Integrated Care Collaboration
  • Facilitate communication between the behavioral health team and the medical/therapy disciplines to ensure treatment goals are aligned.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary case conferences and team meetings to promote a unified care approach.
  • Support clinicians in understanding psychosocial factors impacting engagement, adherence, and treatment success.
  • Assist in program development initiatives that strengthen collaboration and improve the patient and family experience.
