Summary Provides individual, group, and family therapy to students directly in the school with an emphasis on treating clients with trauma-related issues. Maintains patient care plan and refers patients out when necessary.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in psychology, counseling, social work or education.
  • 3 years experience with counseling child and adolescent populations.
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care.
  • LPC - Licensed Professional Counselor - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire or LCSW - Licensed Clinical Social Worker - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire

Responsibilities

  • Employs counseling and education skills in nontraditional settings including home and school in order to help patients/families understand, accept, and follow recommendations for care; restores patients to optimum psychosocial and health adjustment.
  • Evaluates and develops a quality plan of intervention with relevant measurable problems, goals, objectives, and timelines.
  • Completes documentation on the same day of clinical contact and ties progress notes and other clinical documentation to the treatment plan.
  • Documents explicit follow-up instructions to other medical team members.
  • Initiates and facilitates referrals for patients' mental health services both within the network, as well as the community.
  • Maintains caseload every week.
  • Schedules time to enable open scheduling and same-day clinical encounters.
  • Assesses, educates, and intervenes regarding financial or billing issues and documents all insurance contacts/authorizations.
