About Effective School Solutions: Effective School Solutions (ESS) is a leading provider of school-based mental health services for K–12 students. Serving over 6,000 students across 12 states, ESS brings the level of clinical care typically found in private practice settings directly into public schools. In response to the growing mental health needs of young people, ESS has expanded its offerings to include a full continuum of clinical programming, professional development, and consultative services for districts. About the Role As a Float Clinician, you’ll step in to provide coverage when primary clinicians are out—whether for a day, a week, or a longer leave—working with elementary, middle, and high school students. You’ll be based at a “home school” near Greenwich and travel up to one hour to nearby districts as needed (with mileage reimbursement for longer trips). This may include districts in Westchester County, NY. A clinical license in CT is required. A clinical license in CT AND NY is preferred.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree and active clinical license (LMSW/LCSW, LPCA/LPC, or LMFTA/LMFT) in the state of service.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience with children or adolescents facing behavioral or emotional challenges.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and documentation skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience collaborating with school districts preferred.
  • A clinical license in CT AND NY is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy.
  • Deliver clinical interventions that support emotional and academic stability.
  • Engage families through programming and parent support groups.
  • Coordinate referrals and collaborate with school and ESS teams.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and uphold professional standards.
