Job Summary: Assists radiologists and primary physicians by obtaining the best possible radiographs for interpretation. Maintains responsibility for accurately and responsively performing routine assigned clinical tasks of limited complexity.

Requirements

  • High School Education/GED or equivalent: Required
  • Must successfully complete American Registry of Radiologic Technologist examination as a licensed technologist within 12-months of hire date: Required
  • Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) temporary license in Radiologic Technology: Required in OR
  • Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) certification: Required
  • RADIOLOGIC TECHNOLOGIST TEMP (RT-TEMP): Required

Responsibilities

  • Assists radiologists and primary physicians by obtaining the best possible radiographs for interpretation.
  • Maintains responsibility for accurately and responsively performing routine assigned clinical tasks of limited complexity.
  • Practices within current laws and statutes as designated by both the hospital and state regulations.
  • Works under the supervision of more experienced staff.
  • Makes decisions regarding own work, often limited and confined to routine matters.
  • Elevates questions, problems and significant challenges to more senior staff for direction.
  • Works under direct supervision or within defined parameters.
  • Acts as a competent clinician who provides clinical care in a skilled and effective manner, utilizing appropriate technical and decision-making skills.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
