Requirements

• Education: Graduate of an accredited vocational nursing program (approved by the appropriate State agency and a national accrediting body).
• Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license as a Practical or Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN).
• Certification: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of hands-on patient care experience in an outpatient clinical setting within the last 24 months.
• Must include proficiency in administering oral/parenteral medications and operating therapeutic equipment.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in computer operations, including basic word processing, data entry, and Automated Medical Records (EMR).

Responsibilities

• Patient Care: Initiate, perform, and complete assigned duties in providing high-quality patient care.
• Assessment: Perform appropriate portions of physical examinations, including age-appropriate physical measurements.
• Monitoring: Observe, identify, and respond to patient needs and changes in condition.
• Medication & Treatment: Prepare and administer prescribed medications and perform treatments according to established protocols.
• Urgent Care: Recognize and respond effectively to urgent or emergent patient care situations.
• Specialized Support: Assist with complex diagnostic tests and specialized practices or procedures.
• Administration: Perform administrative functions as directed by clinical and mission needs.
