About The Position
Centurion is the provider of medical and mental health services to the Florida Department of Corrections. This full-time Licensed Practical Nurse position is located at Jackson Correctional Institution in Malone, Florida. The LPN (Medical) is responsible for providing holistic nursing care within the appropriate scope of practice to incarcerated patients, working under the direction of Registered Nurses (RN) and medical and psychiatric staff, to address a range of physical and behavioral health needs.
Requirements
- Florida Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license
- Appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
Responsibilities
- Providing holistic nursing care within the appropriate scope of practice to incarcerated patients
- Working under the direction of Registered Nurses (RN) and medical and psychiatric staff
- Responding to a range of physical and behavioral health needs
