Licensed Practical Nurse- Peds After Hours & Urgent Care (Bluffton)
About The Position
MUSC Children’s After Hours and Specialty Clinics is a new pediatric outpatient clinic in Bluffton, operating under Shawn Jenkins Children’s Hospital at MUSC. Located in the new MUSC Medical Office Building at 700 Buckwalter Towne Blvd, this facility introduces pediatric After Hours services to the Bluffton community. During daytime hours, the clinic offers a wide range of pediatric subspecialties, including gastroenterology, cardiology, and orthopedics. Additionally, it provides walk-in After Hours Care, functioning as an extension of the pediatric emergency department to support families when most pediatric practices are closed.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited Practical Nurse program
- Six months of patient care experience
- Licensed as an LPN within the state of South Carolina or a compact state
- A current CPR card; either an American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers card or an American Red Cross Professional Rescuer card
- Ability to demonstrate commitment to patient centered care philosophy as evidenced by effective communications skills, professional demeanor, and excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability and motivation to articulate and support departmental philosophy of excellent guest relations
- Must communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Must be computer literate
