The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) performs essential job functions related to patient care across all age groups, from infancy to geriatric. This includes maintaining accurate inventory of medical supplies, assisting in the selection of division equipment and supplies, and performing all nursing procedures as directed by a clinician in accordance with the Nursing Procedure Manual. The role also involves supporting quality assurance and control, participating in continuing education, and ensuring the efficient flow of patients. The LPN is expected to support a team-based approach to patient-centered medical care, attend work as scheduled, and perform related duties as assigned. A key responsibility includes telephone triage, making decisions based on established protocols. The position requires dedication to detail and accuracy, respect for patient confidentiality, a pleasant, patient, and understanding demeanor, flexibility, and the ability to communicate ideas clearly as a team member. Experience with or knowledge of medical office systems, supplies, and equipment is necessary, and clinical competence is expected.
