About The Position
Centurion Health contracts with state and local governments nationwide to provide comprehensive healthcare services to correctional facilities, state hospitals, and other community settings. Centurion is the provider of comprehensive healthcare services to the Indiana Department of Correction. This full-time Licensed Practical Nurse position is located at Putnamville Correctional Facility in Greencastle, Indiana. The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) (Medical) is responsible for providing holistic nursing care within the appropriate scope of practice to incarcerated patients while working under the direction of Registered Nurses (RN) and medical and psychiatric staff, to respond to a range of physical and behavioral health needs.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license or ability to obtain one required
- Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
Responsibilities
- Providing holistic nursing care within the appropriate scope of practice to incarcerated patients
- Working under the direction of Registered Nurses (RN) and medical and psychiatric staff
- Responding to a range of physical and behavioral health needs
