Location Bingham Gardens - 4405 Louise Underwood Way, Louisville KY 40216 Required Education and Experience Must possess a Associate or Bachelors Degree in Nursing and a Valid Nursing license by the Kentucky Board of Nursing or a state Nursing Board in the Compact State Agreement . Preferred Education and Experience Two (2) years related experience and/or training as a Nurse and at least 1 year with Developmental Disabilities or Psychiatric Nurse experience. This is a full time nursing position, typical hours for this position are 6PM - 6AM . Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Responsible for ensuring all Bingham Gardens residents are given ample and sufficient supports and services necessary to ensure they can become an active member within the community which will assist with enhancing their lives. Under the clinical supervision of a Registered Nurse or Nursing Supervisor performs nursing delegated duties in the care of ill or injured clients. Prepares, administers, and charts medication. Performs medical treatment instructed by the physician. Makes appointments for medical follow up as directed by physician. Gives injections. Administers G-tube feedings and care. Documents all nursing care provided, following guidelines for documentation. Gathers preliminary medical information from client for physician. Reports unusual incidents with staff or clients. Attends all in-service training program and participates in drills for and responds to facility emergencies.
