About The Position
Centurion Health is the provider of mental health and medical services for the Georgia Department of Corrections. They are seeking a Full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join their day shift team at GDCP | Jackson, GA. This role is ideal for nurses who prefer day hours, competitive pay, and a structured clinical environment, without the constant interruptions and stress of traditional hospital settings. The LPN is responsible for providing holistic nursing care within the appropriate scope of practice to incarcerated patients while working under the direction of Registered Nurses (RN) and medical and psychiatric staff, to respond to a range of physical and behavioral health needs. The position offers a dedicated security presence, clear patient accountability, and no family or visitor interactions, reducing stress and distractions, along with supportive nursing leadership and multidisciplinary collaboration.
Requirements
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license | Compact (MSL) or Georgia (SL) | Must be active and valid
- Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or BLS | Must be active
- Ability to obtain security clearance via the GADOC, this may include drug screen and criminal background check
Responsibilities
