As an LPN in our inpatient psychiatric facility, you will deliver hands-on, compassionate nursing care to individuals navigating acute mental health challenges. You will play a vital role in maintaining patient safety, administering medications, and ensuring accurate clinical documentation. Requirements
- Must be at least 20 years of age
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of Kansas
- Valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance
- 3–6 months of related experience or equivalent combination of education and training

Responsibilities
- Administer medications using barcode scanning technology and monitor medication records
- Observe, assess, and document patient conditions in the electronic health record (EHR)
- Respond to minor injuries and urgent medical needs within scope of practice
- Monitor vital signs, collect lab specimens, and coordinate medical appointments
- Communicate effectively with providers, pharmacies, and care teams
- Assist with admissions, discharges, and patient transitions
- Support patients with daily living activities including hygiene, nutrition, and mobility
- Lead or assist in psychoeducational and hygiene groups
- Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning and care coordination
- Utilize de-escalation techniques and support crisis intervention efforts
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, infection control, and all regulatory standards
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation before the end of each shift
