LEOMINSTER PUBLIC SCHOOLS DISTRICT WIDE Leominster Public Schools is looking for a long term substitute Licensed Practical Nurse to cover for an extended leave. Position Description: Leominster Public Schools is looking for a licensed practical nurse to provide direct care to students.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited LPN program
• Current Massachusetts Nursing License
• CPR certification
• First Aid certification

Nice To Haves

• Three years nursing experience

Responsibilities

• Evaluate student health and report findings/changes to the RN, parent/guardian, teacher and physician when appropriate.
• Document health office visits in the student’s electronic medical record.
• Work with the RN to address student health issues and concerns
• Maintain school health records according to state laws and school policy via paper files and the computer
• Participate in yearly mandatory student health screenings
• Administer medications and treatments to students as per MD orders, DPH guidelines and school policy.
• Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities if asked
