About The Position

Recovery Centers of America (RCA) is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide compassionate, industry-leading addiction and mental health care. RCA's mission is to help patients through evidence-based treatment and personalized support. Founded in 2015, RCA has treated over 77,000 patients and aims to save one million lives from addiction. Their treatment centers operate 24/7, providing compassionate, evidence-based care. Many team members have personal connections to recovery, fostering a supportive environment. Former patients may be hired at different RCA locations within a year of treatment completion, or at the same location after one year. Requirements

  • An active LPN license in [state]
  • A current BLS certification (or willingness to obtain during orientation).
  • Strong critical thinking and assessment skills to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Competency in performing CLIA waived testing.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills with a commitment to compassionate patient care.

Nice To Haves

  • One year of experience in behavioral health, addiction treatment, or detox services is preferred; phlebotomy skills preferred.
  • Knowledge of health care, detoxification process, addiction, co-occurring disorders, and DSM Criteria preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assess patient health by evaluating their physiological and behavioral health, monitoring vital signs, behavioral changes, and response to treatment.
  • Administer medications safely and in accordance with prescribed treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and clinical staff to ensure appropriate treatment/discharge plan.
  • Educate patients and families about addiction recovery and self-care practices.
  • Document patient progress and maintain medical records with accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Maintain a safe, structured environment that supports recovery and well-being and respects the dignity and diversity of all individuals.
  • Complete documentation and follow procedures outlined in organizational policies and procedures.
