As a Nurse, you will be an essential part of community-based group homes for adults with complex medical needs, developmental disabilities, acquired brain injury, and/or mental illness. These homes house 3-8 individuals, offering an opportunity to build meaningful relationships with those you care for and their families.

Requirements

  • Active LPN license in MA
  • Driver’s license
  • Reliable car
  • Experience supporting mental health needs (personal or professional)
  • Clear communication
  • Basic computer use
  • Teamwork
  • Must be fluent in English

Responsibilities

  • Manage medical care and medications for persons served, including training staff on safe medication practices in compliance with DPH Medication Administration Program (MAP). You may be asked to become certified in MAP during your first 6 months.
  • Respond to emergencies and de-escalate crises with persons served.
  • Train staff on health/safety rules and document incidents as required.
  • Keep programs up to date with medical and medication laws, including paperwork and inspections.
