About The Position

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care within various healthcare settings across the United States. This position involves providing direct nursing care under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians, ensuring patient comfort, safety, and well-being. The LPN will be responsible for monitoring patient health, administering medications, and assisting with medical procedures, contributing to effective treatment plans. This role requires strong communication skills to collaborate with healthcare teams and educate patients and their families about care plans. Ultimately, the LPN helps to maintain a supportive and efficient healthcare environment that promotes positive patient outcomes. 6A-6P AND 6P-6A

Requirements

  • Current and valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of practice within the United States.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited practical nursing program.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of nursing principles, patient care techniques, and medical terminology.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare team members.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a clinical or hospital setting providing direct patient care.
  • Additional certifications such as IV therapy, wound care, or geriatric nursing.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and documentation software.
  • Ability to speak a second language to support diverse patient populations.
  • Continuing education or specialized training in areas such as chronic disease management or patient education.

Responsibilities

  • Provide basic nursing care to patients, including monitoring vital signs and reporting changes to the healthcare team.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments accurately and safely according to established protocols.
  • Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility to promote comfort and independence.
  • Document patient information, care provided, and observations accurately in medical records.
  • Collaborate with registered nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to implement and update patient care plans.
  • Educate patients and their families on health maintenance, disease prevention, and post-treatment care instructions.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
