About The Position

This position is located in downtown Charleston, South Carolina, at the Main Facility and it's primary purpose of the Licensed Practical/License Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) is to perform assigned duties in a manner that promotes quality health care, positive customer service and the maintenance of an environment committed to serving the veteran. This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application. The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is a member of the Specialty Clinic care team and within six months able to able to work interdependently with direct Registered Nurse (RN) supervision in the delivery of quality nursing care. This team member with assistance as noted above will support the clinical needs of Veterans seen in the in the Specialty Clinic setting. He/she will establish competence within one year to provide care appropriate to adult and geriatric patients in his or her assigned clinical area.
