About The Position

- The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Lifestream Behavioral Center is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients within a behavioral health setting. The role involves working collaboratively with healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of comprehensive and compassionate care, while adhering to established protocols and standards.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing meeting minimum standards of the Florida State Board of Nursing as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
• Minimum of one (1) year experience in nursing, preferably in a mental health setting.
• Strong understanding of nursing care procedures and protocols specific to behavioral health.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Ability to perform patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Proficient in the use of medical equipment and technology relevant to the role.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle stressful situations with professionalism.
• Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in nursing practice.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and in accordance with nursing standards.
• Monitor patient health and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and progress.
• Assist in the development and implementation of individualized care plans for patients.
• Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families regarding health conditions and treatment plans.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
• Participate in ongoing training and development to maintain current nursing practices and standards.
• Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
• Adhere to all regulatory and compliance requirements related to nursing practice.
