About The Position

Centurion is proud to be the provider of mental health services to the Georgia Department of Corrections. We are currently seeking a PRN Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Hancock State Prison - Sparta, GA. Shift: Flexible PRN schedule with occasional holiday coverage. Requires one weekend shift per month and a minimum of two shifts per month to remain active. This role works collaboratively under the supervision of Registered Nurses and medical and mental health providers to ensure safe, consistent, and quality care delivery.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license or ability to obtain
  • Current CPR certification
  • Ability to obtain required security clearance, including drug screening and background check

Responsibilities

  • Deliver routine and specialized nursing care in accordance with established protocols and standards
  • Monitor patient conditions and report changes to the RN or provider
  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered
  • Support behavioral health interventions in collaboration with psychiatric staff
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Adhere to safety, security, and infection control procedures
