About The Position
We are seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide high-quality patient care in an orthopedic specialty setting. The LPN will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, supporting clinical operations and ensuring safe, patient-centered care.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing program
- Active New Jersey LPN License
- Current BLS/CPR Certification (American Heart Association)
- Minimum 3 years of LPN experience (5+ years preferred)
- Orthopedic experience required
- Strong communication and clinical support skills
Responsibilities
- Perform ongoing, systematic patient assessments (physiological, psychosocial, and cognitive)
- Assist patients with daily care needs including hygiene, ambulation, and meals
- Provide pre-operative and post-operative care
- Position patients to ensure comfort and safety
- Monitor patient conditions and promptly report changes to the RN
- Support medication reconciliation and patient education
- Assist with preoperative assessments and clinical procedures
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient care environment
- Deliver individualized, patient-centered care based on age, culture, and clinical needs
