Requirements
- Current State of Maine LPN license (required)
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- 1+ years of experience preferred in long-term care, skilled nursing, or acute care
- New LPN graduates welcome; structured onboarding and support provided
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and medication administration skills
- Commitment to high-quality geriatric nursing and senior care
- Strong communication, teamwork, and documentation skills
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care in a long-term care / skilled nursing facility (SNF)
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Monitor, assess, and report changes in resident condition
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation (EMR)
- Collaborate with RNs, CNAs, physicians, and interdisciplinary care teams
- Support care plan implementation and resident-directed care goals, including geriatric nursing care
- Ensure compliance with Maine Nurse Practice Act, federal regulations, and facility policies
- Promote a safe, respectful, and home-like environment for residents
