About The Position

04111 LPN As supervised and delegated by a registered nurse, provides direct patient care in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. Reports to: The Director of their assigned department FLSA: Non-exempt Education: Graduate of a Practical Nursing program. Licenses: Current LPN License to practice in the State of Tennessee. Certifications: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS), within 30 days of hire Required Skills Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Essential Functions Under the direction of an RN or Med-Surge Charge Nurse, contributes to the assessment of patients by collecting data for analysis by an RN. Performs plan of care interventions, including specimen collection and wound care. May administer medication. Documents patient care given. Assists RN with development of plan of care. Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation. Monitors, documents, and communicates patient's status and reactions to interventions with RN, physician, patient, and families. Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient. Non-Essential Functions

Requirements

  • Graduate of a Practical Nursing program.
  • Current LPN License to practice in the State of Tennessee.
